Well it's looking very much like it's going to be Maxes year and title to me, he really has got the bit between his teeth now even if he is 50k short for touching things that don't belong to him. He bought his own private jet for 12,000,000 this week off the Virgin man so I don't think he'll miss the fine somehow I actually think Mercedes are losing Lewis the title this year they just keep on dropping the ball..

I agree. Weasely mealy mouthed Horner also just mentioned that Max gets a Pole bonus which is more than the insignificant fine anyway so he’ll still be better off. At the end of the day we here felt it was Max’s championship this year several races ago so this decision won’t necessarily affect the actual outcome but still a shame….the Red Bull was the better car this year and Max (as much as I utterly dislike his personality and the way he throws out insults implying being handicapped is something to be ashamed of) has driven more consistently this season…. Yes shame, could have been a good race tomorrow. I wonder if Lewis will bother racing competitively in the Sprint Qualifier Even if he made up ten places in the race that would still leave him 5th from last on the grid. may not be worth the risk and wear on the car.
I had rather hoped that he would win his 8th title this year and then retire at the top.

Bang on, I can't stand his families arrogance, but both he and Red Bull engineering have been spot on but somewhat spoiled by the little moanalot Horner, he really is quite detestable. Could be a good race tomorrow.
Yes I'd like to have seen him get the 8th title and go onto whatever it is that's in his heart now, having achieved great things on the track and opening a few minds along the way.
I'm not writing him off this year just yet though either.

I actually think Mercedes are losing Lewis the title this year they just keep on dropping the ball.. Totally agree, this season Mercedes just haven't had their usual perfectionist game together. I think they knew it would be tough with the rule changes at the beginning of this year having a much bigger effect on their aero package than Red Bull. Add to that, Honda's leap forward in power and reliability and it was always going to be tough for Mercedes even without their poor team performance. (By their standards) Let's hope they have got next years car right. Adrian Newey will almost certainly bring a good Red Bull to the grid.

Yup, up 15 places in 24 laps not a bad pace. It'll be an interesting afternoon tomorrow.

Well I got that wrong! What a drive. Still needs a DNF from Max for any hope of the championship I fear. (Lets hope I get this equally wrong)

Interesting comments from Christian Horner in the Sunday times today. I can’t share the opinion of him above. He seems quite a decent chap to me.
