Lockdown border restrictions was relaxed about two weeks ago and my son bought some wheels for his car from a place near Newcastle. We drove up there to get them and dropped into the MGB workshop on the way back, an extremely long trip doing 794km all up. David the workshop owenr was very nice and turned up on a Saturday just so I could have a look. It is the first time I have seen the car since it was painted and it is very nice. I think once it has more shinny bits like the front bumper and grille added it will look even better.

The car before mine is at the trimmers and due back on the 1st of December, the plan is to put my car on their little truck, take it to the trimmers and bring the other way back. I am hoping to visit again around that time but during the week so I can visit the trimmer as well. It will be good to see a fully trimmed car and mine ready for trimming.

The MG national meet was on over Easter in a place only minutes away from the nursing home my sons partners grand mother is in. So we went up so she could see her Great Grand Daughter and while there I went and looked at the cars in the Concourse. A nice trip away for a few days but driving about 1200km all up.

On the way there I stopped off to the workshop doing my MGB. I have been meaning to go for the last couple of months but either the place was shut due to a positive COVID case, or the roads around there flooded and not nice or safe for a trip. The car has progressed nicely, floods and COVID don't help things get done quickly but the quality of the work is looking great.

The 300kph speedo seems a bit optimistic. Maybe not for the car but certainly for me.

The car before mine is back from the trimmers and looking great, hopefully mine will go there soon.
