I’m considering putting wrap on my exhaust headers. Theoretically at least the retained heat improves gas flow, but its actually the look of it that I like, and I already have G56 pipes. I just wish to enhance the appearance of Number 42 - The Bleazey Special.
I was thinking of using a woven glass wrap and possibly then applying a coating. I’m looking to achieve a durable white finish.
What experiences and thoughts have other owners had with wraps and coatings.

If you like the look of it then go for it, I cannot think of a downside from wanting an aesthetic look. And it may help prevent your indicators melting! As to a coating on top I have never seen that done. Interested to see what you do.

I think that Paul & Rachel had this done on EVILMOG and seem to remember that they had some issues with the coating coming off. I'm not sure whether this was resolved to their satisfaction. Zircotec were sponsors of a race series I once took part in years ago and also noted their product was used on some GT40 replica's to good effect. No personal experience though. Camcoat was another exhaust coating used. But this won't work on a system that is wrapped prior (if I read the OP correctly). Issue with coating an exhaust in a white finish is that it shows every finger print afterwards. About as sensible as me wearing white jeans to work in my garage!

I take you mean every burned on fingerprint on an exhaust system That was one reason I wrapped my pipes, as well as protect the indicator lamps and help with exhaust flow. Cuna2016, that looks very good. Ceramic coating, which/what type?

If you choose the "titanium" type wrap, I see no reason to apply coating as it looks very nice as it is - a warm grey/golden hue. And less prone to showing any kind of dirt. As an added bonus, it is easier to apply than fibreglass wrap.
