Very sad news about the recent passing of Tony Dron. I've admired his work for many years, he was always entertaining, humorous and to the point. His driving skills gave him an insight that was seldom found in other journalists IMHO but most of all he came across as a thoroughly decent and likeable person.

My condolences to his family and friends and specifically to his brother Peter who posts on this forum.

Very sad. My best wishes to the family in these difficult times.

A gent that wrote with skill and authority. My memory for names is poor on a good day but his name always stood out on articles.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Being totally honest I don't remember him although I must have seen him race at Revival quite a few times, here is a little resume from Motor Sport which was my car magazine of choice not the popular everyday car one's which he wrote for it seems.

Here is a lovely article on Tony from the GRRC website.

He lived near to me and I saw him occasionally in his Austin 7.

That is a very nice piece by Andrew. And this, by Matthew Carter, with photos by Jeff Bloxham, is the definitive obit...

It has been a tough week. Thank you for your kind remarks.
