Has it been announced that Lewis Hamilton is to be Knighted in the new years honours list.

In this article by the BBC about the sad passing of Sir Frank Williams, they seem to have let the cat out of the bag. Or just sloppy journalism??

It's never referred to so I wonder if he asked for the title not to be used in general?

I believe normal usage is to use “Sir” in place of “Mr” - which these days means it doesn’t get used very much.

Unless you happen to be the leader of the Opposition in Westminster?
