I knew that there would be some benefit in supporting Ferrari, I didn't have to get concerned about all the stupidity going on at the front and it looks like they will finish in 3rd position which given a very average year is quite good. I still hope that Max wins the next race though!! ( Cue for angry retorts )

Just been looking at the 2022 cars, especially the 18" wheels and low profile tyres. As most (all?) the F1 drivers rarely drive modern cars on the road I suspect they will forget that low profile tyres REALLY don't like kerbs.
So, the first few races will see a lot of punctures... possibly before the FIA mandate "no kerbs" and just white lines. It could all be interesting....

I can understand that. As a Ferrari fan, you obviously idolise Michael Schumacher and we all know what he did to Damon Hill. somestick

Of course I'm not suggesting that Max would stoop to such tactics.

Maybe that's why Damon doesn't like Max.

Given there were a good few years of tedious roundy-roundy the changes and covid driven different tracks this year have made it a greatly improved experience.

Watching both McLaren and Ferrari improve has been enjoyable as well. George moving from Williams to AMG should make it more interesting, I hope LH does not break him.

I did want Max to win this year for several reasons - more competition, prefer him to LH which is saying something as I am a strong AMG supporter. Even in their previous identities (Brawn etc) I always enjoyed watching them.

I hope the final race remains a race and not a toys out of pram moment.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I'm a little bit suspicious that the Americanisation of this years coverage of F1 is fuelling an adversarial style of driving and conduct, when you see the intro footage before each race, it's all crashes, and driver strops, then during the race they increasingly focus on team managers blowing a gasket behind the monitors

I haven't watched a single race this year.

My patience and interest have pretty much evaporated.

Nice one Bob, I can see what you are getting at, I did smile at the emoji and yes, I do think Schumacher was brilliant. I've been to the Ferrari museum and seen all his championship cars, wonderful sight even for non Ferrari nuts. To paraphrase the song " All I want for Christmas is a race wining Ferrari"

Here’s a rule change that would fire up a proper race..........
In the event of a tie on points the ruling of most wins is being scrapped. The tied result would mean a shared championship.
That would raise some hackles and howls from the camps!
It won’t happen, of course. I don’t think the rules can be changed that easily but.......

I'm going 3/1 on Verstappen taking both cars out of the race by mid race - any others gambling then grin2
Horner and his father will have briefed him on how not to make it look like a brake test or running over Hamilton's car this time around..
Oh yes and Bottas for the win.
