It will get more problematical once these early cars are out of warranty, and a continuing liability to anyone buying a used CX.
They really need to find a solution.

Sorry if I missed this before but do we know what proportion of cars have had this fault? I’ve done 2000 miles in my 22 MY plus four and the rad is fine so far. Hope I’m not tempting fate. And do they tend to start leaking soon after delivery or after some miles?

I was hoping to hear that! In that case this doesn’t seem to be a reason for anyone to hold off getting in there and buying as much enjoyment as these cars deliver.

Richard, I think the later 22MY already have the radiator mod Although that offers little peace of mind given at least three 22MY cars with leak reports on this thread alone!

According to the factory the issue was "a manufacturing issue with the manufacturer" apparently the radiators with "the new components" are now with the factory and one is "on the way "to my dealer! That was 2 weeks ago - even with the crazyness of Post-Brexit, I would have thought it shouldn't take this long to swim the Irish sea!!!!
