With the different tyre strategies, the "what ifs" are fascinating.
My belief now is that Max will win.
Max will make a very fast start on the soft tyres and Lewis will slot in behind without putting up a fight.
However, unless Lando can hold him back, Checo will be all over the back of the Mercedes on the first 10 laps or so while his soft tyres are fresh and faster than Lewis' medium tyres.
That will either slow Lewis down while he's defending or Lewis will risk a crash by defending against Checo or Checo will get past Lewis and then slow him down to let Max build up a lead before the soft tyres go off.
Unfortunately, Valteri will hide away from the fight a bit further down the field stuck behind those pesky red cars.
If Lewis wins from this position, he will rightly deserve the 8th championship.
All of course IMHO

Well put - I think we'll all enjoy it possibly for a variety of reasons, lets face it we haven't a clue what will happen but it's been fun some of our theories on here have helped speed the week along a tad.

Lewis certainly looked strained in the post race interview, he’s clearly disappointed, it’s a shame about the booing too. Ultimately though, he’s perfectly capable of starting a new day with a fresh head. I like Max too so I wish them both well but for this one, I’d rather Lewis gets it done, Max will get plenty more chances.
Whatever you think of all the falderal and razzmatazz, it’s been a good show this year across the whole field.
