Masi’s head must be on the block! Debatable decision making for some time. In the last race “negotiating” by radio with Red Bull as to their being happy with an outcome but not ( apparently) with two others involved in an incident was a disgrace. It should have been the stewards decision not his. Then today’s safety car situation re the rules for safety car procedure and unlapping of cars. His comment about creating a race seemed to possibly ignore the procedure. The post race appeals will be illuminating! It’s not over yet!

Jennie Gow on Auntie just now - The teams went into a meeting with the race director.

I can tell you that Mercedes took a barrister with them.

The head honchos from both race teams appeared before the stewards.

They then came out, Christian Horner looked at me, winked, broke into a little smile and carried on walking.

Then I heard they have just adjourned the meeting and will reconvene in eight minutes.

I can say it's highly unusual for Mercedes to have brought a barrister to the race track but it was for exactly this kind of scenario.

It really isn't worth discussing, the result is what it is.
I didn't watch it because we went out for lunch with family, planning to watch a recording. Now I'm not sure I can be bothered.
The media is whipping up sensationalism, just as they do with politics.

I'm glued to the live feeds now, too. But the real loser is F1's reputation.

They will lose a huge audience if they don't get this one right.
