New owner of a first Morgan which is Connaught Green. Please enlighten the American to what a Connaught is. I've seen it referred to as a district in Ireland, a hotel name, and a couple of other things. Non which seem to relate to a paint color.

TIA
Tom

Connaught was a British racing car manufacturer of the late '40s and early '50s, with entries in several classes including Formula 1.

Probably named after the colour of the grass in Connaught Ireland.

A few years ago there were plans for Connaught to open a build unit on the outskirts of our town to build a road car, I think along hybrid/EV but not sure. It didn’t eventually progress.
If you go to Silverstone Classic event you will probably see some race cars there. I’ve got a couple of photos in the archives.

I always assumed that it was related to the coat of arms of the O'Conor dynasty.

You can’t just drop that in and leave it there Viper a picture and story would be most welcome if you can lever something out of her, not many people were in a position to race back in those days.
