My car had a strong fuel smell while driving and then it started to get the spray on windshield. If the smell is strong while engine is running, it is mostly likely tiny tiny cracks in the hoses. The rubber Morgan used was shiite. It eventually decomposes. Buy some decent fuel injection grade hose. Don't forget to check the hose that connects to the two towers under the fat hood. good luck.

see if you can still get a fuel system from Morgan Custom before he runs out of stock.

I second this suggestion, I fitted one recently and it is a well made piece of kit that replaces the Morgan hoses around the cylinders, and separates the filter and pressure regulator, so that the filter is immediately downstream of the fuel pump and the regulator is up front with a gauge. The only catch is that you have to send off your fuel injector towers to Emil to change the fitting on them.

unless you purchase a pair of towers in advance and send those off. I did that and there was only a few hours of installation of down time.

When I sent my towers to Emil for the new fittings the down time from removing to refitting was only 10 days, time for a few bacon butties.

what Lightspeed says above! I could have saved myself some trouble of swapping hoses. But with Emil's system you have ton more reliability and can dial in fuel pressure with a regulator

Or just get the uprated fuel kit from M3Wservices in Swindon - still uses new 'standard' correct type fuel pipe but also has a proper fuel filter and regulator.
Lot cheaper and works well.
That is of course if you need it as I still think its more likely an oil leak/wet sumping - have you carried out your checks yet?

The standard towers can have their copper fuel fitting come loose in the tower since it is only a press fit.

I've had a good look over the car without beginning to take it apart too much and can't find anything obvious. Rather than cause a new issue myself I'm dropping it off with the experts on tuesday for a proper diagnosis.
