He must have been pleased at that price for an older car…. Is it just me or does it seem that prices for Morgans on BAT are on the way back up the second half of this year? It seems to me like the prices late last year and early this year may have dipped a bit, but are once again fairly strong. I'm no basing this on anything but my thoughts and potentially sketchy memory. As a casual observer on these auctions I agree with you.

BaT has a sales history chart facility. Use the search button to look up "Morgan" and you will see the various models listed. Seems like a good, clean car. $88k is about £64k. UK prices seem to start there and ramp up to £120k, or more. But the US one has non original 5 speed gear box and disk front brakes, so possibly devaluing it in the eyes of the purist. Handling? I'd guess like a well sorted Roadster, but with a bit more suspension travel, given a steel ladder type chassis, IRS via torsion bars and quater elliptical rear springs. The body is steel, but the first 100 were ash framed aluminium. Interesting at the price!
