Does anyone know if the Jack Knight steering rack used on the 1999 era Trads is totally interchangeable with the Quaife racks used on Trads from the 2009 era?
My understanding is that the Quaife was almost a copy of the JK rack except for a few details such as the gaiters etc but I'm not certain.

I remember the centre sec of Swanmog bought his +8 and it had a JK rack. The rack gear teeth weren't case hardened so it wore out under guarantee & he got a Wuaife one. How easy that is to fit I don't know but it is possible..

GoMog take on this issue is they can be swapped without undue fiddling
