I only ever hand polish. And I only ever use clay on forward facing panels, and only then very rarely.
It's easy to overthink this subject, but I just keep on top of it, and so it's never a long job.

Obviously paint prep prior to polishing is key and the bit that takes the real time. Once ready for a machine polish I always use a Rupes Bigfoot ( https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk...Ir-Gm9QIViLHtCh3TTw2MEAAYASAAEgJ6APD_BwE). As it is an oscillating orbital you have zero risk of damaging the paint and you have at least four compound choices of polish with matching pads. I always start with the Ultra Fine and then only use a coarser grade IF required to deal with any blemishes. Once complete its then about paint protection and one of the easiest and effective treatments I've found is called Cosmic 9H by Polish Angel ( https://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/polish-angel/glasscoat-cosmic-9h-multi-color.aspx). It's really easy to apply and then each time I wash the car I use GTECHNIQ C2 v3 as a finishing spray to help dry the car and add an additional layer of protection. The Cosmic 9H seems to last about a year on my daily driver left on the driveway and driven circa 10,000 miles per year. It will easily do 2-3 years on a car used generally in better weather and garaged.
Cheers, Paul

I am lucky my younger son on graduating from University started his own detailing company and qualified as a Meguiars Master Detailer (not that he used their products), he used to prepare high end cars for events such as Pebble Beach winning a few trophies. He has since sold his business and moved onto other things but will still give my Moggies a going over, he has never used a polisher of any description on the Morgans and absolutely forbids me from doing so.

Hi folks Only had a Morgan plus four for a year now. Looking at options for polishing and in reality about best buffer that could/can be used safely. Would also use it on my other daily use car obviously with different pads but any advice would really be grateful for, thanks in anticipation or maybe everyone just buffs manually Don't do it! As above, gentle hand washing and gentle wax application by hand. Orbital polishers are best left to the experts, it's so easy to damage the paintwork.
