I was wondering if any other Morgan owner has lost your car keys, I have a spare set but I would like another set and I was wondering what is the best way to replace them, could I just walk into a shop and get a set cut or do I have to go to Morgan Cars, I would appreciate and help you can give me, Kind Regards Andy.

The key fob contains a transducer for the immobiliser so although you can get a key cut which will fit and turn, it won't start your engine. Start by talking to your dealer unless anyone else knows a way?

They are Ford keys so maybe a Ford dealer. On my S1 Roadster there was a little transducer you could could extract in the key, by default it could also fall out. The 3.7l doesn't have that, just how it works I don't know. .

Are you sure the key is Ford?
Freelander rings a bell for the key. They are drilled in the factory to install the immobiliser chip. I believe the immobiliser is Ford.

Mea Culpa. You could be right as the steering column controls are ex Freelander.

By co incidence I asked in my local branch of Timpson's this morning about having a transducer key cut for a dally driver. They scanned key and are able to say straight away if they can make a key or not. They need the car present to match to.
They could do a key for a 11 year old Indian car so a Morgan should be no trouble!

If…. your Roadster has a Ford ecu with a PATS immobiliser and you have two original (non clone) keys you may be able to program more immobisier chips using the ECU’s built in functionality. Then if you can find a Landrover key blank and have it cut its just a case of drilling a hole for, or attaching the new chip. This old thread might help.

May be worth a chat with your local Landrover dealer, especially when the parts dept sees it's a Mog parked outside and a bit of a different challenge ?
