Any particular reason why they drill the small holes all the way round the outer face, as they are not 'split rim' ?

The bolts are purely decorative and optional.

Back in the day , the go-to wire wheel for those with deep pockets was the Borrani. You saw them on Ferarris, Maseratis etc in the days when the wire wheel was the normal option.

There were lighter than the comparable AC Cobra 6 " wire , due to the fact that they used alloy rims as opposed to steel. This made them very hard to weld and more prone to damage. I picked up a set for my +4 racer in VERY second hand condition, but sold them on before using them as the cost of the few spokes I needed was more than and complete Cobra wheel from MWS.

They were eye-waveringly expensive, even then, today I guess it would almost £1000/wheel.

Now of course alloy wheels are the norm for serious competition cars.

I probably should have worded my question better.
I was fully aware that the turino wheels are used on M3W as i have read Phil Gardners work and have a quote from m3w services. I was hoping that a non trade user may have experience as the only advice i have so far from an owner is negative.
