Doesn't a lot depend on the amount of the Agreed Value, it does over here?

Footman James for me, pay about £250 for 8000miles. Have declared every single one of my numerous engine, running gear and electical mods, even down to LED rear bulbs....

The basis of Mog insurance is value. So always take that into account when making comparisons.

Am I correct in saying that you do not earn NCD with classic car policies ? As they are classed as a specialist insurance and are generally cheaper than main stream insurers ?

As I understand it, yes, although they do take account of 'years without a claim' to assess risk

Agreed, we could be comparing Mogs from sub £20k to over £60k here, perhaps a £ insurance cost per £1k value would be more accurate ?

Not just value but also the owner's age, driving record, claims history and, as previously pointed out, postcode. Also whether it is the main transport or a secondary car on a policy with no NCD.
Given all the variables it's perhaps surprising how similar the amounts are.

My Mog insurance has gone down this year.., Not sure what to spend the £1.12p on...Hmm..? (-:

Agreed value, salvage retention, £200 excess. 1500miles limitation £230.44 SD&P I used to run with no mileage limitation, but only clocked up circa 26k miles in all the time I have owned my Mog.

I have been insured through the same Morgan specialist broker for 20 years, and at one time when I had nothing better to do I decided to read through the ins docs... and to my dismay I found that while on foreign trips the insurance dropped to the minimum insurance requirements for whatever country I might be travelling in at the time...! In the UK in times past that was RTA, I cant remember what that covered but not much at all..!

All that typed on y latest renewal, I note. Foreign use extension - Comprehensive cover within the EU for up to 90 days per trip..

Outside the EU.. is anybody`s guess but if you have any such plans might be best to investigate...

Then there is whatever additional aspects of Brexit to be considered in terms of licences and health care etc. etc. etc.
