Musings from a period of insomnia. Apart from “ normal “ service parts such as filters, plugs and oil, what would be the the most sought after engine spares? I’ll start the list with cam-belt and fuel injectors.

The alternative parts list is a vital source of helpful info....I suspect that part of the challenge is finding somebody with the will/resources to build/sell stocks of things like cam-belts etc that were perhaps specially made for S&S by Gates (similar issues apply to the sterering rack/bevel-box)
Fortunately the engine seems pretty robust with few reports of things uniquely designed and made by S&S breaking - it is not yet clear what has happened to the detailed design drawings/specs to allow manufacure of any broken bits as an alternative to scrapping an engine and looking for used replacement from the limited pool.
One could draw the impression that Morgan are quietly trying to wash their hands of the recently demised 3 wheeler and leaving owners/specialists to sort out keeping them going while also protecting "their IP" by blocking suppliers like Quaife from dealing with anyone but Morgan whose ability to provide spares for the M3W seems questionable.
Even if I was in the market for a new toy, my experience of Morgan aftermarket support and the limited dealer network (even in the UK) would make me think more than twice about the Plus Six/Four/Super Three

I will add cam drive sprockets that wear the key slot, valve springs that break and gaskets, with the occasional crankshaft failure, when combined with a Harley based compensator. I don't think there is any point in trying to stock these items "just in case", although that usually ensures they will never fail on your car.

I think it might be underwhelming with only 57 bhp.

I think it might be underwhelming with only 57 bhp. Indeed but vs 62 bhp from the 163lbs S&S in Euro4 spec its not so different!

Also that would be 57 bhp at the flywheel whereas the M3W is measured at the wheel I believe

A bit sad on S&S with the way they handled walking away from the x-wedge. I have been noodling buying a crate x-wedge. Bad news is the cost is 10k but the good news is it is the bigger 132.
