Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) only dark green or ivory in Germany? vs. HORNSLETH

Yesterday, after a long time, I meet another carguy in my neighborhood.

We speak about cars, than he realized the first time my MOG. And ask about the colour. The answer: sports green.

And I wonder about his answer: oh, clear they are only available in dark green or ivory. I told him about 40.000 possible colors and that I love more the british taste with much different coloured MOGs on the road.

After this expierence I remember about the HORNSLETH Morgan and post it at FB „Morgan News“. And also realized: there where 10 of this cars out. 10 exotic painted MOG. Are they known here? Is one of this cars out on the road?

The most reaction are likes and positiv. And only a few misslikes. But the misslikes are interesting.

I love the Hornsleth paint. It was a similarly painted press 4/4 that first piqued my interest in Morgans. I think it might have been Henry Catchpole who had it for a couple of weeks.

When I‘m right there is also a BEATLES Radford Mini. And there is a Janice Joplin Porsche 356 and I think some cars more.

I think the spirit of theses days would also work at a Morgan.

Here's the psychedelic cobra .... interesting story with this car .... owned by a Guinness heir (The Rt Honourable Tara Browne) who was part of the 'Swinging London' scene .... painted by the BEV Design Collective who were responsible for many of the similar cars in the UK (and trippy shop fronts and murals I remember from the London streetscene of the time). The owner had the dubious honour of being the subject of the ..... 'He blew his mind out in a car/He didn't notice that the lights had changed' .... verse in the 'A Day In The Life' track on the 'Sargeant Pepper' Beatles album after being killed running a red light in London, out of his head and hitting a lorry in his Lotus Elan.
