Beautiful, if windy, morning so took a trip from Poole via Wareham, Arne, Corfe to Swanage for a coffee and cake at the Swanage Pier cafe. Wind was SE creating a rough sea in the bay. Back via the Sandbanks Ferry and ended up with a car full of sand.....passed a M3W heading around the harbour towards the Ferry on way back home so exchanged a wave. Spent the following couple of hours removing the sand from every nook and cranny in the car... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/03/19/IMG_0334.jpg)

Thank you, for your kind words, dear friends I‘m still undecided about the replacement. Browsing car selling platforms, I stumbeled over this one and my heart almost stopped beating. Well… my +8 is insured for 60000€ and I could afford the difference But THAT money for a toy? On the other hand, why keeping the money on the bank where it depreciates every day? It looks, like I will have a few sleepless nights

Ivo, Someone posted this on Facebook earlier today and I took the liberty of explaining that the driver was ok as several were fearful of your state of health given the state of the car. Thank you, Richard

Good luck with your decision.

One of the worst things you can do when going around a bend is brake if you are going at a decent pace as you lose grip on the rear wheels. Best keep a steady speed when going around a bend. It happened to me in my youth when going around a bend too quick, decided to slow down with the brake and lost the back end, which decided to find itself once the car had repositioned itself in the direction of a tree 😬 That is correct, but, sometimes, you don‘t have the choice. On the first picture of this article, you can see, that there was little space between the lorry and the rocks. I think, maintaining a steady speed would not have been an option. Everything happened so fast… As mentioned before, i drove this road a hundred times, so my speed was adapted, to stay on my side. But the lorry driving the „ideal line“ from the other side was not the ideal situation.

That is a thing of beauty. It may seem wildly expensive but when some fairly modest mass produced SUVs are a similar price it starts to feel good value.
Wishing you well with your decision making. And remember, you cannot take it with you.

When I saw the ad before this post, I thought you were selling this car. Do not hesitate IVO. I took the step and I don't regret it. She is made for you.

I must say, that I am very tempted… what I absolutely dislike, however, is the colour of the interior. Not per se, because I have a similar in my Infiniti and I chose that on puropse, but in the combination with the exterior it looks awful. The missing spare wheel is (besides the price tag, of course), an other point. But I could get used to that one (or add one later if not). The car is located about 550km from my place… I need a few more days…
