Can anyone advise under which wing will I find existing wires for spotlights- will they be wrapped in the loom?
Many thanks

You haven't said what year/model but recent Classics have blue/yellow cables tucked away under each front wing with connector to optional switch behind dash. This switch takes its feed from BCU if your car has one, which inhibits power to lamps unless headlights are on.

Ground connection for lamps you can pick up locally. Look for or provide double female bullet connector fed by black wire.

Note there may be two blue/yellow cables under r/h wing one providing power and the other looping across to l/h hand side. The wiring diagram suggests these two need to be joined together, typically with double female bullet so you have power to both sides. This may have already been done by factory.

Thanks Richard it’s a 2005 Plus4 and I want them to come on with the main beam.
Will the blue and yellow wires be on their own or wrapped within the harness?
Thank you

Separate as they emerge from the loom and adjacent to headlamp cabling Gilberto. Take off front wheels and you should see cables tied to inner wings once you have rinsed off dirt. There may be other unused cables such as those for optional wing top side lamps.

did mine with a relay under the dash, no need to furtle at the wings. Spots only come on with main beam. I think I ran a wire from the main beam feed to the relay to activate the switch, turning off the spotlight switch kills the spots. So spots only on with main beam and don't have to have them on.

Yes I agree a relay would be needed for spot lamps. In fairness MMC provide the otherwise redundant wiring from switch cabling behind dash to under wings as mentioned, but for front fog lights! The power supply appears to be taken from sidelight switch therefore.

A shame not to use this existing cabling though and just add a relay close to r/h side headlamp where supply and trigger can be readily found.
