Has anyone used Cain's LED headlights to convert from the old style units.

I used to have the LED "bulbs" fitted but now that's illegal I'm thinking of changing to full LED headlights.

How do you rate them? Brightness? Beam cutoff pattern etc??

Any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated.

Typically dipped beam cutoff is and has to be very well defined using focused optics on LED lamps Bob, given their intensity. Although Land Rover ones on mine you can see the cutoff as a sharp demarcation line on the rear of cars in front when in traffic.

You can also see the cutoff sharpness here on the right when comparing with splatter (note illuminated bricks above) from old high intensity halogen on the left.

I think it's for this demonstrated reason that LED bulbs in halogen reflectors were outlawed.

Good example of the LED headlamp units Richard.

I have fitted the Wolf sealed LED headlamp units to my Roadster. They are extremely good, both main beam and dip. Good beam and cut off. No MOT worries either.

Bob, I was under the impression that you only went out in daylight because you can't see yourself in shop windows at night..!

Oh dear, that's just reminded me to refit the crappy but legal bulbs for the impending MOT
