Nice day but chilly!! .... that's an awfa fancy motor for Boddam !! .... you still upstage it with the Morgan though! 🙂
K There are quite a few of those Battery cars round here, that one is particularly nice. Once they’re totally out of fashion and nobody likes them, I might get one.

Rare Salmson ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/jz2hOcH.jpeg) Love the radiator shell Yes lots of opportunity for polishing there Jon although many of the older cars are held in oily rag state. Seeing a pre-war Roller with dusty engine and exhaust paste liberally spread around the manifold was a bit sad though.

Not the most creative photo... Drove from Cheshire to Bristol for my annual service, MOT and a few other bits to be sorted on the Morgan. Due to time I took the motorway which proved to be interesting. I got to spend quite a bit of time with the CX and noticed a few bits that I don't recall reading in the relevant CX posts, so info to come! Nevertheless, looking back at my Morgan put a smile on my face even on a dreary day at coffee break at an M6 service station. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/04/03/277668071_10166402599975473_8058181648535983202_n.jpg)

It’s a long time since we’ve seen a picture of your car, Perry, it still looks brand new. That may even be the very service Station I phoned you from when we left Malvern on our first ever drive, south of Knutsford somewhere? Today I’ll get to see my car driving along the road for the first time, I’m going to let my son out on his own in it and I might follow him in something else just to see what it’s like.

That pic was take about an hour south of Knutsford so it just might be. It's almost six years ago if you can believe it! And thank you for the kind words. Credit goes to a shop I use who did a full paint correction on it about a month ago which did wonders but more importantly started the spark that reignited the love I have for this thing. I think you will be smiling from ear to ear watching your son drive your Morgan for many reasons. I do quite enjoy having someone drive my car so I can see/hear it. Strange?

200mile round trip to MMC yesterday. Left at 7.45am, -2 degrees so was very grateful for the heated seats. Every time I lost feeling in my hands I just stuck one between my legs and seat to warm them up. Ride back was a little warmer, but sporadic showers and hit a massive sleet storm on the outskirts of Northampton, zero visibilty and very painful on the face! Only lasted about 4 miles though and soon back in the sunshine. Stuck to mostly A/B roads, but ventured in the M40 and M1 for small bits so I didn't end up stuck at traffic lights in the showers. Car is running beautifully at the moment, and the 5 speed box is still a delight. Cruises effortlessly at 60mph, but will travel happily at 80mph on the motorways. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2022/04/02/IMG_20220402_111626.md.jpg)

Short trip to local Snetterton race circuit for first round of Morgan race challenge. Close racing with William Pratt and Andrew Thompson. Good to see CX models in the mix. Results available here.
