I seem to be cursed with these things. Every one I have had has been useless - including the most expensive Michelin I could find.

I obtained this quality but scruffy Walters and Dobson double acting foot pump Chris as part of an auction lot which included a brand new cased 2 ton trolley jack  ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/9YjaXO0.jpeg) Found a guy who offered new leather seal kits and rebuilt it. Works really well being essentially two pumps in series with the outer of second cylinder forming the piston for the first. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/zbgUTRg.jpeg) Sad to say the quality and innovation offered by such small British companies priced them out of the market. Worth checking out eBay or your local T W Gaze auctions in Diss.

I have an original Dunlop foot pump (Part number FP1! ) bought for me by my wife many moons ago. Great bit of kit , almost bombproof. Had to replace the rubber hose once in 30 years

Checked eBay but all require restoration. Nice vintage Breast Pump though. Need a volunteer to test it.
Think I might go for the (pricey) Makita 18v jobber.

Kismet is the connoisseurs choice, although I haven't bought one yet. SiL has a few in his collection. Really well made. I have the self same pump as this .... got it for pennies at a car boot sale and think I got my leather seal set from the same old guy in a shed (came wrapped in brown paper with proper string!) .... it's a really great pump ... the mechanical action is silky smooth (as opposed to many of the modern pumps that are rattly and wobble) .... excellent quality bit of kit the likes of which you won't get these days. The only downside is that they're rather heavy. K

That's the guy K  . I notice I get a double hiss at the bottom of travel as interconnecting valve between two cylinders operates.
