The G56 Carbon Fibre Cover is just that, a cover with additional scoop, it just replaces the standard metal Morgan cover and bolts to the existing metal sub-structure that is fixed to the throttle body and two engine mounting points.

The G56 is a popular option. Does it have a stinger under the cover? If my filter falls off or causes problems, I may go to the G56!

Has anyone heard of any plans for G56 to stop making parts? I know I have also considered them for replacement parts with a couple of different upgrades. We have had so many other sources drying up (S&S, Emil w/Morgancustoms), I feel like I need to buy any part I may possibly ever want while I can still get them. FOMO at its worst. smile

Not heard of any plans for G56 to stop production of M3W parts. If anything I would think their market is improving as M3W values increase and people think it is worth spending more on their cars to improve them. Unlike many cars where a standard version is often worth more than a modified one, values for "improved" cars are higher than a not very good or useable standard car.

Thanks, Planenut. I don't plan to sell mine anytime soon, but I hope you are right. I think Garage 56 has a nice suite of upgrades and is a good source for parts.

Ian, I suspect you're correct. It's naive to purchase an early, 'stock' 3W without contemplating the upgrades that are pretty much de rigueur to keeping them on the road. Pay me now or pay me later. Humans (like our beloved 3W's) may only have a 9-month gestation but still require 2x the nurturing (owner-supplied improvement) to be mobile. Here in the U.S. even the earliest uncured '12's seem to have a $40k floor. I've not seen a fully sorted later model come to market.

Also, comparing the Speed 3 to the 3W, like digital vs. analog, there will always be visceral attraction to the analog. Let's just hope you're correct about third-parties stepping up to production of replacement parts. I try to compartmentalize my affection for the car from disappointment with MMC and to a lesser extent S&S for the abandonment.
