Hello everyone, yesterday I noticed that unfortunately a screw is missing from the windshield bracket. It is one of the three small screws on the side next to the window. Since it is not the M thread that is typical in Germany, I wanted to ask if someone could tell me the thread type so that I can order the missing screw.

This set includes the screw (the 6 small ones on the left in the picture), but I only need one smile

Thank you for your help, regards Markus

Just PM me your address and I`ll send you one.
Had the same a while ago and ordered the set;-) So there are a couple left...

Be careful with the length. If it is a spare glass they might be too long...

Check the length by removing the one opposite as there are two sizes used, if you screw one that is too long the screen will crack !

Markus,
The thread is 2BA (raised countersunk slotted) on our 1985 4/4.

Oh, yes. Do be careful. I had a well known windscreen supplier (UK) get this wrong, despite me warning them several times about the screw lengths.

After the screen cracked, I screamed at them for a bit, and the next time they snapped on of the bolts on the boss holding the screen upright. Then stuck it back on with silicone.

I found this out while travelling at speed and wondering why the screen was bending towards me more on one side than the other. Cue more screaming down the phone, this time at the manager, I got a full refund, and since they couldn't source the bolts, extra to pay for a boss kit.

I then had to refit everything properly.

I should have reported them to trading standards.
