laugh2 Pleased you managed to locate the car, the options at least have presented themselves.

Yeah, the reality is that as much as it would be nice to have, I don't really need another 4 seat Morgan, and even if I did have the funds, I'd have to buy a bigger house, or at least one with a bigger drive smile

Would be nice to make contact with the new owner though, and a visit to the states to see her in the flesh wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility....

That would be a nice one to meet up and share a drive together.

Get an interesting web page together with the story ..... and set up a crowdfunding page ... people raise silly money for far less worthy things!!

Beginning to suspect it's a scam advert. The photos are from a Hymans auction site - ithey're about 10 years old (I found the site a couple of years back when I started my search). The seller has zero feedback and no history.

Still,will remain optimistic....

And to be honest, if someone had £17,000 they were willing to give away, I'd rather it went to a foodbank. smile

I love the description in that eBay advert "This Morgan has unique right hand steering".

Yes, absolutely a scam. I did a Google image search on one of the pictures and got 54 hits, everything from "Merthyr Auctions" to a private seller in Oak Park, Illinois - all using the same photographs and description. Sadly, no help in tracing the car's current whereabouts I'm afraid.

Yes, I've had a reply from the 'seller':

"Thanks for reaching out and glad you found it! Appreciate the photo too. Yes, we've owned this one for a few years and it's time to pass it on to a new owner. We certainly enjoyed her while we had her!"

No name, or other details provided.

I might push a little further - I've asked if he's got any recent photos.

Looking more promising - he's put some more photos up, which looks like it's in a container, hence using the older photos to give more of a wider overview.....

So, she's now sold - the new owner is in Florida and he's going to repaint her Agate Grey, and re-trim in orange leather. Contact is difficult on ebay as it bans address/phones and emails in messages but hopefully I'll be able to get in touch and share some of her history.
