Drove Hawki's +4 GDI down to Harwich & back. With Hawki a passenger in a Roadster on the way down I found that it really flies in 3rd one up.

The car is the one advertised in for sale & wanted.

Hawki is moving up in the world to a CX Plus Four he collects shortly I suspect that will give our Roadsters a run for our money. laugh2 drive:

Just back from an evening run down to Milford-on-Sea and a stop at the Coastguard Cottages. I had intended to turn on all the lights on the car (including hazards) to give some illumination. Forgot !

First blast of the year tonight, only into Turriff to fill up with fuel and get some milk but very enjoyable.
Cars off to the paint shop tomorrow for some TLC on the wings around the tread rubbers.
I watched a programme on TV last night with a rather attractive blonde lady(can't remember her name) walking, swimming, sailing and riding on a steam train in and around the river Dart and Dartmouth area, looks like a lovely place to live Richard.👍

Salcombe has always been a barometer for the motoring tastes of the wealthy. When we started going it was mostly Beemers and Mercs, then it became the same but estate cars. Then it became Audis, and then it became SUV's....in a small town surrounded by single track roads, right now I suspect it's riddled with the biggest SUV's possible, but having not been there for a while, maybe EVs are making inroads.

Nice you had a good trip out Gordon it's too busy here on the roads right now for me other than evening runs.

I think this was maybe the program you saw, she is one of our Regional News presenters and very easy on the eye and ear.

It is a lovely area for a touring holiday but you need to do it a little off season to be enjoyable.

We are very lucky living down here I will say and the coast and Dart always provide an ever changing scene, our Son lives with his girlfriend near Newquay so he never left the Sea and we see them often.

Our two Daughters live way inland but always hanker for the scenery and quality of life down here but both husbands have pretty serious big buck jobs so will look to early retirement and a return I think. No 1 Daughter will probably gravitate to Bath where she spent four years at University and her husband went to Cardiff so fairly close. No 2 will return with family to the village I imagine.

Good luck with the paintwork.
