Hi Everyone, I don’t want to stay anonymous and say hi shortly since i sold my Mercedes Cars 6 month ago I thought I won’t own an own car for the next 1-3 years but then a friend gave me his Morgan 4/4 1980 and I fell in love. I definitely going to buy a +8 soon and checking the German markets. As an outsider it’s hard to check the right prices and see the differences and the cars. Wish me luck that I do a good choice I am 40yrs old, living in Düsseldorf center Regards Michael

Welcome Michael and good luck with your search for a good Plus 8, you should have a good choice as there are many of them in the country. It maybe worth joining this club as they will know all the foibles to look out for with these lovely cars and when one is coming to market within the club. There are some very good Morgan Groups on Facebook (PM me for links if needed) too with established owners you could contact to check the car over for you prior to purchase, they are very robust cars in general mechanically and an absolute joy to drive. There are normally a few here on this site too as it's International - this LHD 4.6 Ltr appears to be in exceptional condition (with some lovely extras including those special dashboards that come from your homeland) in England, there are others in Holland on the same site. Enjoy your choosing

Michael
If you want to cruise on the autobahn and make lovely V8 noises , then a +8 is hard to beat. (The 3,9 is fine , you won't need the extra torque of the 4.6) However if you enjoy more challenging twisty roads and more forgiving handling then the 4/4 is probably more suited. The modern +4 with Duratec or GDI engine falls in between the 2 .
As Richard says join the German club and try to get one of their members in your area to come along and inspect any purchase before you commit.

Wellcome also from northern Germany!
As is written above: Make a test drive with different cars! For example: The 4/4 vs. the (different) Plus8! And try the cars on different roads!

Welcome from Cologne, Michael. I am a 4/4 fan but I can very well understand what is desirable about a Plus8. Good luck when searching.

Hello Michael,
Welcome here! It‘s a good idea to have a look here for some inspiration. And: nothing beats cubicinches! But with a look at the power have look also at the Classic Plus4.
Greets from Mainz René
Hallo Michael,
