This is the jack I bought it clears the under bumper mounted numberplate both on the front and back of my mid 80`s +8 and fits under the diff too. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/cla...0546613_f6f05dbc498da97f25c8075a9b3c54b5The length of reach under the Mog, as well as the lift height might be worth thinking about when compiling a specification..? Good luck in your choices..

Still using the commercial 3 ton trolley jack I bought re-conditioned in the early 70's. It goes as low as the modern, compact suitcase 2 ton one I carry around in the LR.

I bought one that looked a bit like this from Costco but for about 1/3rd of the price. https://toolkitdepot.com.au/bahco-2...LrEnEjGD5eP0zZpr0ta82G_gFVhoCsRAQAvD_BwEWhat I liked was it was only 25kg, had two handles on the sides so I could position it easily dragging it sideways while kneeling down next to the car and the front axel was small enough that I could lift it up to put over a hook and hand it from the wall so it took up very little space in the garage. It was the last one left and was the display model so came with no instructions or a box. A few years later it stopped working, I topped it up with jack oil but it still didn't work so I took it back and Costco having good customer service agreed to give me credit towards the new model they have which looks more like this one. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/125191960391The new one is 42kg so nearly double the weight and with no handles on the side is not easy to move around on the floor to get in the exact right spot and also harder to lift to put in the car if I want to take it somewhere. But it did come with instructions to say it must be kept flat. I have been looking around but I can't really justify giving this one away to buy another one. What I have noticed is that it appears that only the aluminium ones have nice handles on the side.

my lightweight 1 1/4 tone Clarke jack leaks and there's no repair kit available either. On the lookout for a replacement as a birthday pressie.

I have one of these. It’s the nuts - lightweight, low profile, the box fits in the footwell if needed (eg on route to sprints). https://www.frost.co.uk/aluminum-do...dr6m-9wIVk-7tCh0LqgaBEAQYECABEgI5efD_BwEYou can get them from a few places - this is just an example reseller I found on a quick Google - not who I used. You can get colour coded, aluminium stands to match.
