With many thanks to "Cooperman", I'd like to share just a few photos of some of the numerous stunning cars located on the lawn of the Royal Chelsea Hospital at the London Salon Prive show today. Cooperman very kindly emailed me two tickets which he was unable to use.

Apologies if I've said this before but interesting that MMC threw out the concept of having the steering rack in front of the wheel hubs, as with the Liberty Ace they bought as a basis for the future M3W design, on cosmetic grounds

Is it a trick of the light, or does the crumpled upholstery look like it came straight off one of those dreadful care home chairs ?

It’s called a technical fabric and is a £1195 option, more expensive than leather.

I worked in the textile industry for a while and recall when specialist protective fabrics such as Gore-Tex appeared -- to protect the wearer from wind and rain, yet to be "breathable". Excellent invention, but not sure I like that look in a car interior. Just one opinion of course.

The Technical Fabric is military spec and used, for example, by the Netherlands Army in their all terrain vehicles. It's supposed to be pretty tough but I prefer the leather option.
