During all the years there have been many posts where some had complains about the aftersales service from MMC. For that reason I like to share my experiences with MMC.
Last year I’ve found out that my 2013 M3W got a cracked chassis (this time on the top tube). I wrote an email to MMC on Saturday evening and (to my surprise) on Sunday morning got already an email back with some questions and the assurance that all would be done to solve this nasty problem (which means that the employee answering this email has heart for MMC otherwise you wouldn’t be answering this on a Sunday ! )
After some emails forth and back I got the request to bring the car to Malvern and they would fit a new chassis for me. I told them that I also found some metal particles in the engine oil and they told me; we will have a look at that as well. As I wasn’t in a hurry during wintertime I gave them all the time they needed for the repair.
Beginning this month I could pick up the car again. They fitted a brand new chassis at NO CHARGE ! Not only that, many things on the car had been renewed or redone like bolts, nuts, cables and other small parts. They did a real perfect job to my opinion as it looked like a just new assembled car.
The problems with the engine was caused by the camshaft bearings which started to seize themselves and gave the metal particles in the oil. They stripped the engine completely, washed it and installed all new bearings. For this I got understandable a normal invoice as this can be normal wear and tear after 40.000km.
All by all, I found that I got a very good service from MMC, that’s why I’m happy to share this good experience with others.

My experience in 2020 was exactly the same Laurens - whilst we all occasionally gripe about some of the simple to fix things that go wrong perpetually, when it comes to the big stuff they've been excellent. Hats off to MMC for the chassis issue jobs!

Glad to see that they seem to be doing things better now. It's been a few years since my first and last visit for service and needless to say, it was the opposite of what you have experienced.
Happy you got sorted!!!

I wonder if anyone in the U.S. has a similar happy story?

I wonder if anyone in the U.S. has a similar happy story? Not from me. The best part of Morgan for me has been the ability to purchase parts from a good dealer on the opposite side of the continent.
2019 M3W Sold and is now in Las Vegas enjoying the showgirls :-)

I'm waiting to see. I had my new car shipped over to the US and picked it up in July. After 6 months and not even 2500 my driver's side exhaust pipe and muffler failed. The spacer cracked all around the front of the muffler and the exhaust pipe fully floats and rattles, and the exhaust of course shoots out the front. This is on the Morgan Stage 1 exhaust.
I'm happy that Morgan has said they will replace under warranty, as I guess this happened on a couple of car. I am waiting for the replacement part. Granted, I may be waiting on a supplier to build, so at this point, I'm simply being patient as I was told this would take several weeks. I guess I am fine with that as the car is still drivable.
I'm glad I don't have anything as complex as a chassis replacement. That would be much more difficult in the US. Glad to hear you had such a good experience.

During my 23 years of Morgan ownership here in the USA I have never had a problem dealing with the 3 Morgan dealers (who are MMC here) I work with. I accepted from the beginning that living over here was going to be different, distance being the issue, than when I owned the Morgan's in the UK and built that into my ownership model, to me it's all about taking the time and effort to build relationships with those you will need in the future on both sides of the pond

I've had good service and responsiveness from my US/NY dealer as well. I've always suspected that THEY make it happen with comparatively little MMC support. Parts arrive from the UK with predictability and I'm loyal. Its hardly the most convenient relationship but I never expected it to be.
