The last photo with the metal box looks like the immobiliser. Follow the wires back, the insulation wrapped loom and you should find the plug. I think Chris and Phil are correct about the loom being black wires as well, from memory. Your jumper plug looks the same as mine, it should work.

I have done this on my 2012 car.
The immobiliser unit is the silver box, all wires to it were black on mine. I presumed this was to be a bit secret squirrel and make it harder to by pass?
Will post pix shortly

There is also a pair of wires from the dongle sensor to the box with a connector wrapped in blue tape. On mine this was loose and would disconnect with vibration!

The myriad of green wires and a fuse connector was the solution to mysterious electrical issues including the ability to start motor without key by having emergency flashers turned on? There were multiple inputs to single fuses which are nice routed individually

A quick postscript to say I have finally found the wiring loom immobiliser plug and socket, fitted the immobiliser jumper plug and all works as expected, huge thanks to all who have contributed !
Every one was valid and helpful.

My immobiliser loom plug turned out to be immediately behind the rev counter in the scuttle space, but had dropped down between the chassis tube which runs under the dash and the rear of the dashboard plate itself, so not obvious from the firewall direction.
Following the harness from the immobiliser box was the first clue - it ended in a barely visible white plastic shape with black wires - haha !.
I tried to get a meaningful picture of this but failed.
Fumbling around to try and get access to the plug from the firewall side clearly wasnt going to happen due its position and the undergrowth of wires in this area.
Removing the rev counter and speedo panel from inside the car gave enough access for a quick test with the immobiliser plug in place and success !!!!

I have moved the loom connector where the jumper plug fits so it is accessible from inside the car - so on the odd chance if I am leaving it somewhere I dont trust ( I never do on purpose, but we all have breakdowns smile ) I can easily and quickly remove the jumper plug.

I must say it is a joy to start without having to fumble around with the immobiliser dongle !

Thanks again for the help.

Good to see it is all sorted in the end. We have all learnt that there are at least two AMP 070 12 pin plugs under the dash of a M3W 😁.

Thank goodness I never had the immobiliser fitted, just something else to go wrong.
