Changed my tyres and 3 of the 4 are ok however the one has gone flat over night, going back for the spare to have a new tyre fitted today (only had 4 in stock) and they will remount the tyre again. Any obvious things to look for or possible solutions? It does have stainless wire wheels fitted.

Did they damage the silicone seal around the spokes?

Either the valve or the silicone seal.

The tyres on my 4/4 have always had inner tubes.
Was this a standard fit?

Thanks for the input, spoke with the tyre fitter and they have something that might fix the sealant issue if its that. Will find out at 3pm. I hope its an easy solution..........

Richard V6 posted on how he fixed the seal. If they have tubeless tyres JohnHarris I would put money on the fitters having damaged seal on one wheel. I managed to damage the seal on two of mine by simply taking up a ΒΌ turn of slack on a spoke on each, so can verify the seal (formed with sealant) is very fragile if mistreated. This also makes it easy to repair minor damage though using correct sealant available from MWS who supply OE wheels to MMC. See thread here. Thanks Richard for that, I hope its just the valve. Clearly a whole lot of hassle if its the black sealant..........dont you just love wire wheels.

The Roadster wires are wide, and having watched the fitter change mine, it's very easy for the tyre bead to scrape the sealant. All four of mine were slightly damaged, despite the fitter being experienced and an old friend. But I don't take the Morgan for tyre changes, I take the wheels off. Just in case.

Just the same happened to me. In spite of several attempts it kept leaking. New silicone, new rubber band inside the rim - you name it - did not help. We even detected the very spoke that was reponsible for the leak, but to no avail. So I ended up putting a tube into the tyre, problem solved. Now I run on three tubeless tyres, and the fourth with a tube. I would have preferred tubeless all around, but I can live with this. As for handling and comfort, I do not notice any difference.
