Hello together

I would like to change the windscreen on my Morgan next month....
Unfortunately I haven't found anything in the forum....
Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

-Additional hole for the centre screen pillar?
-Everything fixed with silicone? (What colour do you recommend?)
-With what torque did you fix the screens?
-Did you mount something under the centre screen pillar?
-Probably there are other points... But the M3W is still in one piece πŸ˜…

Thanks for your help
Patrick

There has been some discussion by those who fitted the Fairbourne Carriages GT Aero Screen, although I don't think it is available any more. Anyone who did this should be able to help.

See this for example:

I ordered mine from the factory with the Heritage screen, and love it.

A guy called Kevin used to cut the screens for Fairbourne and can still supply the screens. I believe he also has some centre pillars available, although only in black. He can be contacted on 07977 070184. I have a set of the original Fairbourne fitting instructions if it helps.

Hello together

Thank you for your replies πŸ‘πŸΌ.
I have bought the Morgan fly screen's ☺️

And looking forward to fitting them.

John: Do you have a rubber profile in the middle or was it fixed with silicone? And was it also siliconised at the bottom?
Or do you have some photos?

Best thanks

Hello Patrick

Here's some photos of the heritage screen on my car. You can see the centre pillar is attached to the tonneau cover pin bolt. Feeling underneath the pillar there seems to be a second bolt towards the front of the pillar that is invisible from above, and it does feel like there is some sort of plate beneath the bodywork. I can't take photos of that without pulling the car apart though, and it is too damn hot in my garage for that!
Hope this helps

John
