Possibly, but they are not old arses like you and I and it's where they live nowadays.. the world has moved on apace with Twatter, Whatsape, Instaspam et al, whilst we still enjoy our antideluvian Morgans laugh2

FYI that term is now seen as both ableist and abusive, and has accordingly been removed from the Oxford English Dictionary.

My insurance with Headley is due for renewal in the next few days and I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to get them to send my renewal quote. Today was the final straw and I told them I was taking my business elsewhere.
A real shame that their service has gone downhill as I've been with Headley since 2008.

It's a great shame about Headley. They've lost 3 of my car insurances.

Headley still doing the business for me with the three cars plus house and contents with them, I'm not a bottom line person though but like the way they handled a claim for me seven years ago, totally professional and I didn't have to fill in one form and I always talk/email directly to the same person in private client section.
I have been with them since 2004.

Peace of mind is worth paying an extra couple of bob to me.

The new policy details always arrive a month early giving time to review and compare so no complaints here.

When I was considering a Plus Four last year they quoted me £500 for a 5,000ml which I thought was fair for an 80k car.

Like Morgan dealers what suits one person will not necessarily suit another, it's a very personal thing, I always treat as I find and not by reputation alone.

Sadly they were bought by another company recently and everything including response times has changed
My decision to stop using them had absolutely nothing to do with bottom line

I'm surprised by that Nick, my most recent car renewal was not due until the 20th July and I had notification and quote on the 29th June via email.
A similar procedure for the other cars also as the year has unfolded, I'm not sure what has gone wrong in the processing for you and Alan..

Exactly the same experience for me; been with them 11 years,; renewal due 4th July and no renewal docs received. (that has also happened in the past) Tried phoning on 3 occasions but put on hold for an excessive time and never got to speak with anyone. . Finally emailed requesting a response within 24 hours which then produced my documents. The price was only a little more than last year BUT I decided to move to G & W where each time I called I received an instant response. They also happened to be 5% cheaper, marginal I know, but my reason for moving was purely down to customer service. My thoughts were that if I needed to contact them by phone in the future for typically a claim or urgent advice, I would have difficulty making contact. Interestingly, G & W use the same insurers to issue the policy.

Neither do I - but a fellow Hopmogger had the same experience last month and never did receive his renewal documents. He never got replies to his emails either.

That's a bit concerning about Headley, I've been with them since the turn of the century. I always buy insurance on quality of product and service, and if they can't deliver this year I too will be off to Gott & Wynne.
