Look at Garmin Zumo XT, I use it in my M3W paired via bluetooth to Sony headphones.

Musicstream is the maker of the box of tricks that drives the speakers and offers out the Bluetooth connection, often shortened to BT

If you are having trouble connecting it might be due to a failed attempt by your phone being remembered.
If you go into the settings part of your phone and then bluetooth, it should display all the learnt devices you have connected to.
If Musicstream is in there but not working it might be part of the issue. Delete the entry for Soundstream.

Now try a re-pair and follow the instructions to see if they click.
Once that is done it may allow the use of your phone as a nav device?

Am I the only one here who goes for the easiest and cheapest option? In just download an offline Google map for the area I'm visiting and off I go. No need for mobile signal. !!!

I’m confused - satnavs have internal speakers which are loud enough so car speakers are not required.

Maybe it's my diminishing hearing but my phone or dedicated Satnav can't be heard above pedestrian speeds with roof off. Streaming music from phone through car speakers via bluetooth radio, the nice Google lady interrupts to give directions at a higher volume before music returns Extra plus is that I hear incoming sound notifications for text, email etc.

I stumbled across a solution that works well for me. I have a '67 +4 with no phone mounting points installed, and blazing South Florida sunshine that makes the screen completely illegible with sunglasses on. What does work, however, is the nav handoff from the phone to my Apple watch. I get a little tickle on my wrist when a turn approaches, and I can easily angle my wrist to see the display. I don't run the risk of catching a truncheoning for touching a phone whilst driving, and I can tuck my phone safely in the glovebox, where it really does belong. Unlike my nearly 3-tonne boulevard battleship, the Moggie requires a little more presence of mind.

Thanks for all your comments over the past couple of weeks. Having tried a few Satnav’s none of which connected through my P6 Bluetooth speakers I am now sorted. I just bought a Garmin drivesmart with Alexa and it works perfectly. It sends all sounds and instructions to my cars speakers via my iPhone connection. Result.
