Not my car but I do know it. A beautiful car in my opinion if you lust after a Brooklands

Very high spec even for a Brooklands with SSL RS kit at front and their after market 5 link rear. Williams forgot to mention the factory sports exhaust though - unless you managed to spirit that away John wink

I'm not being a grumpy PITA (more than usual)......but just curious for a view as to why both this car and the one that's been for sale for ages at K.H. (with similar mileage and for similar money) have both had 4 owners already ? If they are such a desirable spec, what is likely to have caused the quite frequent change of ownership ?

That would be my reason NOT to buy this car.

Well mine has had 2 owners in 8 years. The KH one had one owner for a while then was sold as I understand it to a new to Morgan owner who then moved "up" to a CX car.

I've decided to form an orderly queue to see how this goes instead https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/13671937 (even though it does appear to have "Roadster sump" issues)

To each their own choice , but unless you are hell bent on originality for the sake of it , the SSL suspension brings brings benefits to ride and handling.

The SSL 5 Link rear suspension on my +8 has done away with that brutal snap that comes with winding the rear springs up , I am actually able to go to sleep in passenger seat while my wife drives because I have confidence that the car no longer "bites" . The RS front suspension tightens up the handling and reduces the roll .

If I was circuit racing it might be a different choice, but for now I really cannot see why the SSL is not universally liked and accepted, other than cost and this car already has it installed.

That's a bloody lovely car. If I had a spare £50k kicking around I'd snap it up.

I recall the rebuild of that being featured in Miscellany not so long ago. Great if you drive with a Trilby wink. I'm not sure where the "Roadster sump issues" come in confused2

Maybe I should've gone to Specsavers, but isn't that a big finned sump I see, hanging down to give only about 2" ground clearance ? Or has it run over a whisky tin ? (which would be a shame).
Seems to be ex-South Africa; would anyone care to wager how much it will sell for over here ? I'm sure the answer will be "I can't afford it", but it just looks so reminiscent of the TVR Grantura I owned and loved.
