Ladies & Gentlemen,

After 10 years I noticed a “red flashing padlock light” on the RPM dial when I removed the key this afternoon.

Does everyone else’s car do this ??

Mine does this as well, key in or out when not running. Isn't it normal immobiliser active action?

Would like to know what's behind the red plug in each key body though - battery, chip?

Immobiliser chip, some have been known to slide out, so I run a tiny drop of superglue into the gap just to make sure

May be females are right about the males lack of observations skills
