I'm probably biassed, but I do think black wires look perfect on a Morgan .... they play to the car's vintage DNA in a way the shiny ones's don't ... entirely my personal opinion though ๐

K Agree.... obviously Sticking with the car's vintage DNA I'm adding a touch of brass too. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/N9bTFqQ/MORGAN-BRASS-SPINNER.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/r5Z2JyM/Black-with-brass-spinner.jpg) They should arrive in the post today

I'm partial to a bit of brass myself๐ .... you have the later windscreen I think .... but when I was bashing about with the brackets of my old style one I was very pleased to find that under the dull silver paint, the body brackets were solid brass .... ran them past the polishing mop and they came up a treat .... the combination of brass and polished stainless is a particular favourite of mine so I'm more than happy with the unexpected outcome ๐ ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/07/29/20220729_090057.jpg) Your car looks great with the green paint and black wheels ... the centre nuts will set it all off nicely! Hi all, I'm a new Morgan owner looking to change my chrome wire wheels to black, I'm interested to hear from anyone who's had their chrome wires powder coated or wet painted black. Who did you use to paint or powder coat your wheels? Are you happy with the outcome? I live just 10 miles from MWS so I'll be paying them a visit to see what they can offer, but I'm keen to explore all options. I'm also open to talk to anyone who wants to go the other way, ie from black to chrome and would be open to a wheel swap with me Thanks, Dave. Not sure where you are based Dave but can highly recommend GKL near Snetterton. They specialise in wheel powder coating and certainly did a good job on M3W front spoked wheels for me. Used them for a multitude of other parts as well over the years. They use a blasting facility next door for prep. Prices are very reasonable. Whoops! apologies already answered. Put it down to

+1 can't beat polished alloy! But how about green wires to a green bodywork? ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2021/11/24/FD0E50E5-EB77-44E3-846C-DF4E35414D99.jpg)

Mkiss ... a classic combination ... I guess as long as we don't stray into the realms of flourescent green, there's a good few paint colours that accentuate the 'vintage' vibe .... would depend on the body colour ... Ewan's blue anniversary model looked great with the maroon wheels.

I love black wires and agree the combination is more vintage. Montague's car looks much better with the change. Black alloys look great as well. Pleased I got black on mine and I find them easy to keep clean. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/05/09/1.jpg)

Some two-eared spinners would look great to finish the look. You changed to a black grill as well. Very nice.
