70mm is the lowest point, under the silencer.
Should I look for (F) 135mm and (R) 155mm midway between the wheels?
I'd very much like to know what other owners are measuring.

I'd very much like to know what other owners are measuring. MogCX, They are the numbers quoted by our NZ friends and it sounds like they are in the know. Check with Morgan just what the spec should be and where it is measured. In any case, you should have a minimum of 100mm ground clearance (preferably when loaded) at ANY point under the car. You should be able to drive your vehicle over a 100mm lip on an inspection pit and not touch. Check with your local authority as they may have additional requirements i.e. driving over a specific rise.

My Roadster has just 85mm ground clearance at lowest point, the inverted U profile gearbox support. I cannot remember when I last grounded even two up with full tank and touring gear since:
a) fitting factory side pipes b) chopping down seat mount bolts and exhaust mount bobbins to minimum.
Given greater articulation on CX suspension I can imagine this more of an issue though.

I'd very much like to know what other owners are measuring. I have 85mm under the first exhaust box on he plus 6. The box is quite cumbersome an I will look to change it it out in time, I thing the Morgan Park exhaust will give me a another 20mm, just by it’s design. I haven’t noticed any reduction in ride hight and have about 150mm to the chassis at mid point.

You could always take the approach by Ken Miles in the film Le Mans '66 with use of a hefty spanner

Before ordering the Plus Six I was concerned as to the ground clearances so I got Williams Morgan to check with the factory and the quoted figures came back in writing. Front 135mm, rear 155mm.
My present unloaded measurements are mid chassis 120mm but under the muffler 85mm. At the rear under the wishbone suspension attachment 120mm. However I had a phone call from another Plus Six owner this morning and his clearances are less than mine.
Adding up the costs for the new SSL units, international freight, duty and fitting we are looking at GBP 2500.00 per car. Honestly not a lot considering the original price of the car and a small price to pay for peace of mind. But in the back of my mind a voice is saying (plus my wife!) why should you be paying for what is obviously a faulty product. It would be so easy for MMC to accept the situation and offer to reimburse Plus Six owners the cost of the replacements. In addition it would take the responsibility off Morgan and SSL, or another manufacturer carry that responsibility.
It's not rocket science but simple good business practice to put small fires out before they become ranging infernos!

This saga reminds me on the Jensen Healey, Jensen rushed the car into production, the result was an underdeveloped car with so many problems they released a MK2 version just 18 months later, but it was to late the damage to Jensen's reputation was done and although the MK2 Healey was a decent enough car the company folded just 2 years or so later. I had one. It went back to the dealers within a month or so after numerous failures.

In response to OZ4/4 we are measuring from the chassis to ground at the front and rear suspension attachment points. That is where the quoted Morgan supplied figures of (F) 135mm & (R) 155mm were believed to apply. In addition we are measuring the chassis ground clearance mid way between the front and rear wheels, plus the muffler clearance.
Checking my car (and photographing the measurements) I have (F)105mm, (R) 118mm, MID POINT 117mm, MUFFLER 80mm
YES it would be interesting to know what ride height other owners have.
On a positive note we have ordered new suspension units for our cars from SSL. They are coil over damper units and we have specified ADJUSTABLE spring platforms so they can be adjusted to obtain legal ground clearances. They left the UK yesterday and should arrive in NZ on 12 August. I will keep you informed as to the outcome. Here's hoping we RIDE HIGH!
