Project Monty continues at pace, sat looking at him last night while nursing a beer I decided he needed his front numberplate on the offside front wing in white digits over a black square (I do know this is not legal). ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/7twJbLQ/Monty-Goes-To-The-Pub.jpg) I take my inspiration from the famous 1962 Le Mans winning Plus 4 'TOK 258' ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/xFdL2k6/TOK-258-at-Le-mans.jpg) But for this to work I need the digits to be displayed in a three over three format. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/hM02Tp8/TOK-258.jpg) Monty's original registration of 'KX61 ECY' just wasn’t going to cut it, so from this moment forward Monty shall be registered as my very own tribute to this wonderful Morgan underdog story. I've gone with reference to 'Le Mans 24hrs' + 'TOK' to give the three digit over three digit in a square registration of..... 'L24 TOK' Can anyone suggest a good supplier of vinyl stick on numberplates? Thanks chaps

I would suggest having a look on eBay. Otherwise Holdens or Demon tweaks should do them.

I bought one from ebay, but due to my application 'skills' it ended up looking like a blind cobblers thumb.
Went to a local car wrapper/vinyl sign maker, who made it and fitted it for a tenner......

Yes, technically illegal - but I have the same on my car and have not yet been pulled over by the Police, so I say go for it. I think it might also be an MOT fail so keep a set of legal plates for MOT purposes. Make sure you get the right size plate sticker as well. My first one was too large and creased on the curves of the front wings. It was replaced with a smaller one which I think looks neater, but perhaps now a bit too small. See the photos below for a guide - ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/05/12/2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2022/08/02/1.jpg)

Does anyone have an image of their vinyl wing numberplate they can share? I'd like to see a few options if possible as I'm not sure what would look best against Monty's Sport Green paintwork, a solid black background or a very thin white boarder line? Or even a clear background, so effectively to the eye it would give me white letters/digits against the car's green paint Something like this, but on my Sport Green Plus 4..... ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/K9dqYVc/clear-background.jpg)

Thanks David, Please could you confirm the dimensions of your smaller plate so I get mine right first time? Thanks, Dave.

Although now I wonder if mine is a bit too small - but at least it looks neater. See the pics in my edited post above. Looks like the some cars have the plate on a transparent backing which I think looks better. I might change to that later.
