Adding up the costs for the new SSL units, international freight, duty and fitting we are looking at GBP 2500.00 per car. Honestly not a lot considering the original price of the car and a small price to pay for peace of mind. But in the back of my mind a voice is saying (plus my wife!) why should you be paying for what is obviously a faulty product. It would be so easy for MMC to accept the situation and offer to reimburse Plus Six owners the cost of the replacements. In addition it would take the responsibility off Morgan and SSL, or another manufacturer carry that responsibility.

It's not rocket science but simple good business practice to put small fires out before they become ranging infernos!

Something to think about...
Sounds like the new suspension should do the job.

I asked my dealer about this and he said he was not aware of the problem on any Plus Six they have sold.

It could be that only the early production run cars have the dropping suspension problem. Or may be it is a matter of age and mileage - we do tour a lot in our cars as NZ is a bigger and much longer country than the UK.

See what you can find out about when the cars your dealer has sold were made. All our four Plus Four cars were made late 2019, however our NZ dealer has a new 2022 Plus Six and we are going to see if it is possible to check the ground clearances on this car.

Vividly recall I had to change out the sagging leaf springs on my 2009 Roadster. Seeing a repeat of this story on the Plus Six, is not nice particularly now the CX-owners are in the process of having their cars fixed for the brakes and cooling issues.
Indeed sharing the measured clearance of the Plus Sixes is of interest. I would also like to suggest to share the achieved clearance of Plus Sixes with SSL -modification fitted. ideal would be a before and after measurement.

That is EXACTLY what our dealer said in 2012 about my new 4/4.
Look how wrong that turned out to be . Morgan new of the problem since at least 2010
It cost them heaps to fix all the Australian cars that came forward.
Now its clearly a problem for the Plus 6......

NZ is not that much larger in area than the UK and of course you are two separate islands , many Morgan owners do long trips on continental tours annually , so use wise pretty much the same,
Having travelled extensively in NZ I would say the big difference is the road service the back roads in NZ are even worse than the UK. We drove and survived Danseys pass in the dark and rain on one trip and definety not recommended in a Morgan.
I am surprised that not many UK plus six owners have replied to your thread. Maybe it is not an issue here?

That's a great start. Now, do you have the factory specs as to what those measurements SHOULD be?
