I have a 2008 Plus 4 with a 15 inch woodrim wheel. I am considering getting a smaller leather rim steering wheel. I have 195/60R15 tyres.
Does anyone have experience with a 13 inch steering wheel on a Plus 4 w/o power steering?
Greetings, Harald

Try the off centre mota lita. You get the leverage but also thigh space if that is the issue

I have a complete factory standard leather rim wheel available if interested after fitting MotoLita. It has nominal rim core diameter of around 13". ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/pnxY2zq.jpg) PM if interested.

I‘ ve got a 14“ when I‘ve got the MOG. In cause of problems with rubbing the seat enter and leave the car I changed to a 13“.
After a journey in Britain for service my MOG and hire a MOG with a 14“ I changed back to the 14“.

Harald, I have a 13'' on my '95 Plus 8, no problem but gets a bit heavy when parking etc.especially when used to power steering on the tin tops!

Hei, Harald! I would not go below 14". I thought 14" was heavy on my Roadster with wider tyres, so I believe 13" would be equally heavy on yours with it's skinnier tyers. One can always cope with the strenous parking, but the real issue with heavy steering is less control, slower reactions and corrections when road driving, especially in a spirited manner. With power steering you could easily go down to 13, but without I would stick to 14. If leg room is an issue or the instruments are covered by the wheel, perhaps the Moto-Lita offset - comes only in 14. I have fitted power steering, so I know well the advantages of light steering. As the steering column after fitting ended up a few mm lower, the top of the 14 wheel now covers the instruments, so I have ordered a 14 offset wheel from Moto-Lita. That means that one/Harald will be be able to see it in the flesh when it finally arrives (Moto-Lita has a huge delay...) and that my old but very well kept Moto-Lita Mk 9 will be on sale, in walnut, though. Exquisite, and goes very well with a dark stain dashboard (Hører, du Harald? ;-) ).

The 15" inch wheel that I have, works very well except that it makes entry and exit too narrow. As a result the piping on the driver side seat bolster is badly worn. Before fixing that I would like to make entry and exit easier. Another alternative is to lower the front seats about 10mm. Greetings, Harald

Hi, Harald! Right. I ordered the Moto-Lita 14" offset 18th of may, and was informed that there was aprox. three months delivery time, so it should be approaching. Meanwhile I will send you a photo of the old wheel in situ. My Mk 9 walnut is super elegant more than super sporty, as it has no rivets. I think mahogany quite often is to bright in comparison with the generally darker dashboards of the more recent Morgans. The offset wheel is as said 14", but the eccentric boss makes it like a 13" at the bottom and 15" at the top. Better visibility of the instruments is my main reason for changing, but I do admit the extra leg room comes in handy. I could have chosen a 13" as I have the power steering, but that would have interferred seriously with the instruments. If you PM me your phone number I will send a photo. Regards, Robbie
