Checking my Morgan (4/4 2014 Sigma engine) I saw some oil (just wet, no drops) on the lower thread of the engine mounting rubber (part nr. MEC1505). My local engineer said that the engine mounting is leaking oil, but I thought that it was just a big rubber block. My question is: is there any oil in there? and if yes, do I have to replace the rubber? Does anyone know which engine mounting rubber Morgan uses for the 4/4 and where I can buy this part, not being Morgan, or in other words, from which car did Morgan use the engine mounting rubber. The dealer in Holland charges me €160 ex VAT for just te rubber.

Normally they are solid rubber. Yours could be an exception. It might be a Ford part

Thanks for the suggestions. Brands Hatch doesn't show a picture, but it should be the correct part. When I see the picture of the mounting rubber I think it is just a big block of rubber, Am I right?

It is very likely NOT solid rubber. It is most probably oil filled, and yes they can eventually leak. Sorry, don’t know what the donor car is.
