I took the Plus Four back to my garage today to check the brakes. I have decided not to drive this car again until the dealer fixes it. It's not because of the brakes. It's just the radiator leaking. innocent

Think a trip to A & E would have been required if I hadn’t got the heated seats - what a brilliant invention!!!!!
Lots of photos and videos being taken by passengers in multiple cars that overtook me 👍.
Suspension sorted but have discovered that my radiator now has the same leak as many other so kit ordered and now booked back in for February for first annual service and rad repair…
One thing that happened on the way there, as I was “swiftly” heading down the A1, overtaking lots of HGVs etc, the roof started to rise up/unfold which was somewhat distracting. I think a combination of the weird CX aero plus draught/out wash from the lorries caused it to catch the air. Of course I realised it probably wasn’t the best idea to release the parachute until landing so decided to stop post haste and fold it back again…have to say the dealership were brilliant as, once I’d mentioned my observation, the trim shop immediately went off and manufactured a thin strip, with velcro, that now wraps round the folded roof ensuring it stayed down coming home and resulted in less need for fresh underwear….great service imo especially as it was unexpected and not requested nor charged for.
Now spending the afternoon warming up in front of the fire.

Well done that dealer.....

I know I shouldn’t have, but the weather has been so lovely, I have just had to go for a drive in the Plus Six - I just can’t seem to stop myself!

Finally I can answer “yes I have”.
I did 3 miles in my new Six prior to the recall, but today I finally got out for a proper blast, after the fix
What a joy on a hot summers day.

Having had the fix completed and the car returned, I went for a spin yesterday to find a very “long” pedal! So I went to my local garage ( my supplying dealer, no longer the agent, who the factory refused supply of the rectification parts) to find that the brakes had not been properly bled following the new master cylinder fitment which was done by the new approved agent in Cork. Once this was rectified “Helga” was back to normal and a very happy 65Kms was enjoyed - I’m back in love with her!!! Needless to say a frosty phone call took place.

I hope all others don’t experience likewise! But it is great to be motoring again in advance of an upcoming trip to France in September

Cheers!!

Robbie,

You must be one of the higher mileage CX owners as its your daily driver, is there any noticeable improvement in (now bleed) brakes?
