Hi to all Talk Moggers I hope you have all been able to enjoy this beautiful weather we have been experiencing.
I have a problem that I hope someone can help me with (OOOh Matron)
I have a 1992 4/4 Morgan and the seats are made with a webbing and rubber strip membrane supporting the bottom . The webbing has rubber sides and is stretched and hooked to the seat frame sides. One of the rubber strips has split apart from the webbing, leaving me with a bowled, dished and uncomfortable seat.
I have read several threads on Talk Morgan and GoMog about why this happens and how to replace the membrane but can any one tell me where I can obtain the said membrane.
Any help gratefully appreciated.

For my 2005 4/4 I just got the complete seat webbing (webbing and rubber sides are one part) from my morgan dealer.

It was one of the cheapest Morgan parts I ever got (about 35€ one seat)

Thanks to all.
I will try Richards suggestion of Woolies first.

A local upholsterer may help - we had an old armchair rewebbed a couple of years ago.

I did mine with Pirelli webbing recently. You'll need to drill the front and back rails to take hooks, if you want front to back as well as side to side support; the Morgan type only clips on the sides. I used the old side wire to make extra hooks, or buy more... Be sure to clamp the ends in a vice to grip the new rubber. And dont over stretch, (>10%) the rubber will tear!
Good luck with it, Phil

I had exactly the same problem a couple of years back.
Rutters supply webbing which matched that on my drivers seat.
Bit of a faf to do but I got there in the end.
Take some photos of the webbing before you remove it to act as a reference.

Back in 2004 I was just about to go to France for the weekend. Jumped into the car a day or two before and the seat webbing collapsed. I didn't have time to get a replacement, but I did have a reel of 2.4mm nylon trimmer line, so I removed the seat and laced a load of line back and forth across the frame to effect a temporary repair that would get me to France and back in comfort.

That was something like 80k miles ago. Still haven't got round to replacing the webbing properly.
