Please can anyone advise the correct oil for the Gemmer steering box on our car? I think the recommendation in the handbook that came with the car refers to the earlier box.
Thanks

Acording to my 1987 plus 4 handbook (gemma box) it's Castrol hypoy ep90, or duckhams 90s. Or texaco multigear ep 85w 90 Hope that helps but it is the handbook that came with the car so I can't be absolutely sure it applies to the gemma box. Nick

I'm by no means an authority on this subject but in the past I used Millers Vintage Worm Steering Box Oil in my 4/4s Gemmer steering box with no adverse effect

Nick Nick, Thanks, that is the same info as in my 1985 handbook, hopefully Morgan would have changed in 2 years if an update was needed!

I wouldn't be sure..it all depends how many they'd had printed...bound to use them all could easily be out of date!

I use Millers classic worm steering oil. Fairly easy to find on line. I use a tube and big plastic syringe and suck out the old oil from the top. Has worked well.

I use a decent brand 75/90 with a bit of Molyslip added
Works a treat
