I’d be interested to hear peoples views on this.
On paper it looks more drivable and better suited to year round use but I do like my lockable glove compartment and tonneau and all that horse power sounds great but I can be done for speeding in my current trad.
Please let me know what you think.

Simon, Robbie in Eire runs his Plus Four as a daily driver I'm sure he'll be along soon.

Thank you, that will be interesting. The reason for my question is a proposed culling of the fleet. The Merc and the 4/4 out and a Plus Four in so it would be my daily driver.

Excellent, I think Robbie was doing well until the recent hold up.

I tried to run my 2014 Aero Supersport Roadster (Plus 8) as a daily drive and even went as far as getting a second set of wheels with M&S tyres. It doesn't really work so I sold the wheels and decided to keep the Morgan as a summer car, until the electronics became confused resulting in no brake lights: it has been off the road since late May. I hope to see it back at the end of the month.
We are now trying a second approach, the Tesla is sold and a 2017 model Boxster S sits in the drive. I'd say it is an all year drive, based on the criteria you mention and the easy up powered hood.
Will it replace the Morgan? I don't know yet.

Hold up? Is that the brakes recall?

Yes that's the one and included was the radiator swirl pot mod I believe, so hopefully MMC have nailed these problems now. The automatic version is an impressive car.

Yes - but - in the BM I had and now in the Merc, from tim3 to time a gentle push on the accelerator results in all he’ll let loose under the bonnet, if that happens in a Plus Four the consequences could be disastrous. How good IS that auto box? I often use the Meres flappy paddles to prevent manic over revving even in comfort mode for those reasons I’m leaning toward manual

Hello.
I have had an automatic Plus Four for a year and 12,000 km. I have had various Roadsters and Plus Fours since 2005 and have driven over 130,000 KM with them. The new one is a little less attractive than the old ones (plunging hood and higher hood arch.
But the attraction of people remains the same. The car is much more comfortable, easy to drive. it is also safer on small roads in poor condition. This car has an incredible ability to put a smile on your face as soon as you leave the highway.
The defects are the lack of storage and the absence of a door on the glove box as well as the return of air and rain when the hood is closed. The low capacity of the tank is also a problem for long trips.
In summary, it's a great car.
I hope the Google translation will work for you.

Thank you Gaston, the translation worked fine. As a general comment I don’t understand why rain ingress is a problem when my current car is reasonably dry in even torrential rain - quite cozy really, like camping on the move. I’ve seen the comment quite regularly. What’s happened that has resulted in this?
