Thank you, that will be interesting. The reason for my question is a proposed culling of the fleet. The Merc and the 4/4 out and a Plus Four in so it would be my daily driver. You are going to replace a C class estate with a Morgan? It’s a possibility, the c class hardly gets used

Greetings from Ireland! Yes, I use mine daily and now have just over 20,000 Kms on the clock. I have had 3 previous trades, one 4/4 and 2 plus4’s. The current car is imho a Morgan as it always should have been- I just love it and after some judicious use of neoprene, it is totally weatherproof to Irish conditions!!!! I would thoroughly recommend the upgrade even though it did drain the piggy bank- I’m very glad I chose the auto as I find it very relaxing and lightning fast when wanting to overtake in a hurry. Best of luck whatever you decide.
Cheers! Thank you for that - “Waterproof to Irish conditions” wow, you HAVE done well! Just because it is waterproof to Irish Conditions doesn't mean you can take it through a car wash!!! I get mine at "Waves", located at my local Tesco. Hand wash.

My 2014 4/4 is absolutely watertight from the start. But you have to wash it yourself.

Cheers! Do you have alloy wheels or wires? I prefer the look of wires but if it’s to be used year round and when salt is on the roads I think I’ll have to go for alloys?

Two issues here. Alloys easier to clean but stainless spokes will stand up to grit and salt far better than alloys.

My stainless steel spoke wheels look like new after 20 years. I've never done anything other than spray them with rim cleaner and rinse them off every time I wash the car. It's that easy.

Deejay, yes but. My wheels are stainless spokes which were painted black from new. Trouble is that the collar nut ( where you can adjust the tension of each spoke) are not stainless. Nearly all have now gone rusty, bubbling the paint off. I have re- painted these collar nuts with hammerite which seems to hold the rust at bay for about 6 months. Think I’d go for alloys.

Simon, I have Alloys - I find they are quite fiddly to clean and am looking at alternatives! Cheers!

Interesting, mine are chrome and a nightmare if salt gets on them
